Community education materials : state publication, 1976-[Ongoing].

This series contains materials on community education, which is defined as a philosophy of educational openness, a process of school involvement in the affairs of the community, and a program of educational, social, vocational, cultural, and personal enrichment courses available to a community. The program is funded by federal and state sources. The series includes: annual reports of the State Community Education Advisory Council; public relations pamphlets; state plans; a cooperative agreement statement with the Commission of Aging; resource guides, both general and specifically one on parenting education; calendars of learning; proceedings of seminars with CETA on adult education; a community education report from the Southern States Work Conference; a position statement; one issue of a periodical, Alabama Community Education; and other materials. The series shows the Dept.'s involvement in providing resources for the development of community education.
